New York City: Black and Bleu at Clarke’s Standard
This burger joint outpost of Clarke’s just opened and had some serious lines to prove it. They brag about the fresh ground angus beef, which was definitely the strongest part of this sandwich. Otherwise the bacon was chewy, not enough blue cheese, and the bun suffered the steam driven sogginess that take out unfortunately causes.
I will definitely be back to try their basic burgers and eat inside next time though!
New York City: Steamed Pork Buns at Momofuku Noodle Bar
This is borderline not a sandwich to me but most people consider it to be, and since it tasted so good I decided I had to include it! Biting into this is like biting into a cloud. A delicious warm cloud stuff with roasted pork belly. This is a NYC must have!
New York City: Mallorquin at Despana
This sandwich had a chorizo spread, pressed and drizzled with warm honey. At first the sweet/savory combo was nice, but after a few bites the spice of the chorizo with it became a little odd.
